.	IT'S EXPANSION TIME - New Factory capacity grows apace, more tracks roll out . . .

Advantage’s new 26,000 sq ft factory unit,
‘Windows 3,’ is now up and running.
Over £1.2 million has been invested in the
factory and on machinery that will provide the
additional capacity needed to produce an extra
2,000 frames per week.

The new unit is located on the Poynton Industrial
Estate very close to Advantage’s other three
factories. It is expected to employ up to 80 new
staff when fully operational. Production began in
August under the supervision of Production
Manager Alan Cree. Chairman and founder
of Advantage,Ian Moran, says; "The new factory
represents a huge step forward for the company.
It will provide us with the means to expand our
production capability far beyond what was
previously possible and will allow us to improve
our product range and speed delivery times."

HITTING THE ROAD

In order to meet the growing demand for its
products, Advantage is investing in a new transport
fleet. Transport Manager John Clarbour says;
"We need the extra capacity that our new fleet
will provide to cope with the anticipated growth
over the next few years ". As well as brand new
7.5 tonne vans, the company is also acquiring
18.0 tonne wagons which have doubled the
loadcarrying capacity.

Each new wagon has been customised to Advantage’s own specifications and includes
resistant flooring and secure racking to ensure
that products arrive in perfect condition.
As John says; "We at Advantage have always
prided ourselves on never missing a delivery
and this new fleet will help us to uphold our
excellent reputation."
