KESTREL FLYING HIGH

Kestrel UPVC was formed eight years ago in Caerphilly by owner Ian Lewis supplying frames,
doors, roofs and conservatories to the local trade.
Since then the business has grown to cover
the whole of South Wales and South West England. The company now supplies an average of
150 frames per week, at least two full conservatories and approximately eight roofs per month.

Whilst Kestrel's core business has
been supplying the trade, Ian Lewis is
Keen to increase the retail side of the
business. He has plans to embark
on an advertising campaign to attract
more local retail installations.

At present most retail work is from
recommendations and he sees the
balance between retail installation and
trade supply moving more towards a
50/50 split over the next 6 to 12 months.

Kestrel is a customer of Advantage
Windows & Conservatories Ltd of
Poynton in Cheshire. Ian Lewis says:
"I have known Advantage for a long time

and have bought their K2 roofs since they began manufacturing them. I have always been a fan
of Rehau windows but was originally selling the 60mm version. I have been so impressed with the
quality and service from Advantage that I have now changed to Rehau's 70mm and made the
commitment to buy my entire product range from them. I firmly believe that Advantage are well on
their way to becoming a real force in trade fabrication."

Advantage's Group Commercial Director Danny Hague said: "Kestrel is a growing company and to
help them continue to expand we have offered our expertise. They can obtain technical advice from our
specialist roof division and we have supplied them with their own tailor made pricing software package.
They have also joined Rehau's 'OUT' campaign that will provide them with additional marketing support
and they have also become approved installers for Yale and K2. I'm confident that Kestrel will continue
to grow and become even more successful and Advantage is behind them all the way."
