title MARATHON MAN
  Adam Beeley, an employee of Advantage Windows and Conservatories Ltd, the Cheshire - based
trade fabricator, took part in the London Marathon back in April of this year.
 

27 year old Adam, who works
in Advantage's roof division,
completed the 26.3 mile
course in 4 hours 31 minutes,
an excellent achievement
considering that it was his
first ever marathon and he
had never previously been
a long distance runner.

He began a tough training
schedule in December of last
year after he learned that he
had been accepted as one
of only 30,000 participants
out of an application of over
100,000 worldwide.

Never having run before,
Adam saw the marathon as
a challenge and stuck rigidly
to the task of running three
times a week, encouraged
by his family, friends and
colleagues from Advantage.

Adam, who comes from
Stockport, raised over £500
in sponsorship which he
donated to 'Christies Cancer
Appeal', a charity very close
to his heart as they treated
his father even before
Adam was born.

He said: "I would like to thank
