Background: Progressed from shop floor trainee to Board Director
Joined Advantage: 1991

"I began at Advantage 13 years ago as a trainee operator on a bead saw and have progressed over
the years from charge hand to quality controller, to factory supervisor, to production manager for roofs
and windows and then to Group Operations Manager and recently to Operations Director.
My experience over the years has given me a unique insight into how the manufacturing process
works because I have seen it from all sides. I’m really excited about the new challenges ahead.

 

Our new factory is now up and running and we are
very impressed with the new decorative Elite 70
suite. Our fleet of transport is continually expanding
to cope with our growing customer base and within
both our windows and roofs divisions we have
excellent technical knowledge.

My message to our customers is that we are here
to help. Whether you have a technical question or
a problem on site, you can always give us a call.
Unlike some large fabricators I believe we will
always offer the personal touch.
Last but not least, we will move heaven and earth
to make sure your order is on time. For me it’s a
matter of pride that we never miss a delivery !"

"My two main roles within Advantage are firstly to maintain a secure financial platform for the group
and secondly to oversee the implementation of an integrated IT strategy that will allow a greater flow
of information within the company and create an environment that supports our customers.
To achieve this we have already installed a new digital telephone system that links
customers with all of our departments across all three sites.

 

 

We have achieved our goal of creating an
integrated information systems network which
will enable us to rapidly respond to questions and
requests from all our customers. Order histories,
delivery schedules & account summaries can now
be maintained & recalled at the touch of a button.

All of our sales representatives have been
issued with laptop computers allowing them
to demonstrate the features and benefits of our
products to both new and existing customers.
As the company grows and becomes more
successful so will our customers.
My message is that we encourage open
communication. If you the customer need advice
or support all you need to do is pick up the phone.
